Hello everyone,

I just bought an 8GB memory upgrade for my pc, Corsair Vengeance kit (2x4GB).
(Product number: CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9)
I already have the exact same memory kit in my computer.

The problem is my Windows computer won't start after I installed the new memory modules.
Even when the speedsetting is at 1333Mhz.

I also discovered that I've always ran my current 1600Mhz Ram at only 1333Mhz.
When I enable 16.00 / Extreme memory profile in my bios it will say 800Mhz in CPU-z but it makes my pc restart random while I login to Windows.

So in short terms my problems are:
-My current 8gb setup at 1333Mhz wont take another 8gb at 1333Mhz.
-Even without the new kit, my current 8gb setup isn't working properly on 1600Mhz.

I hope someone can help me;

Greetings,

Luuk

Specs:
PSU: Corsair AX760 760Watt 80 plus

MB: Gigabyte Z97MX-Gaming 5

HDD: 2x 256GB Samsung Evo SSD

I've managed to make my memory work.
unfortunatly the powering up the voltage did not have any effect.
So I went for the 'all-or-nothing' BIOS update.

After I completed the BIOS update, my computer accepted the 8GB at 1600Mhz.
I've tested for 30 minutes of gameplay without any problems, so I inserted the other 8GB for a total of 16GB.
After another 30 minute of succesfull testing I'm fairly confident that it works.

The reason I did not update my BIOS at the beginning is because the releasenotes did not say anything about memory (compability) improvement.

I saw in a blink of an eye that the timings were not like the package says; 9-9-9-24 but something different.
However it works and I'm happy for that.

Thanks for your help.
