GPU cuts out during games

I have recently installed a new GPU and PSU. Been having problems but GPU worked for a little while and then it cut out. I can still hear music and the PC is running fine but gave me a coloured screen white/grey. How do I fix this?

PSU: Corsair CX 600w
GPU: R9 280
CPU: AMD a8 6800

Have you tried reseating the card ?

Yeah I've put it in and out a few times, also the clip to keep the card firmly in place has broken off

Do you have your old card which you can put back in and determine if the problems rest soley with the new GPU?

Ah well before I had an APU, so I will try that and reinstall the driver for it. If it works probably means I have to send my graphics card back then. Do you think my PSU is definitely capable of powering r9 280?

GSOD? although that CX 600w is not top of the line PSU it should be enough to power the card. the APU will bottlenecked the card.
