Hello all. I recently purchased all the parts that I need to build a new computer. I seemed to have installed everything fine but every time I try to test it, my monitor displays "no signal". After looking everywhere for a solution as to why the computer won't display anything, I think I found the problem. My cpu is an AMD Athlon X4 860k and my mobo is an msi a88xm gaming. After checking the manual, I realized the bios version is v1.0. I don't think my cpu is supported because I need to update my bios, but how can I update my bios if I can't see anything on the screen? I have another computer standing by and I hope I could do something with that in order the flash the bios. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Specs:
Mobo: MSI A88XM Gaming
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860k
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R7 260x
RAM: PNY 8gb
PSU: EVGA 500w

Solution
For updating the BIOS, a supported CPU is needed. A local PC shop might help.
Or, return the board and ask for one with an updated BIOS.

Well the other computer is a prebuilt hp all-in-one with Intel parts. I thought I might be able to use to create a bootable drive or something. I have no other spare parts to use decides the ones I bought for my build, although I have a feeling I might need to buy something in order to make it boot.
