I want to get an SSD for gaming, but I do not know if I need to replace it with HDD or still use an HDD. I am a noob in PC so please tell me. I heard someone say if the SSD is 500 GB you can run it without HDD?

Solution
SSD's are getting cheaper in price as time goes on, but in my opinion it is still not worth using a high-capacity SSD.
I would stick with a 128/256GB SSD, for your Operating System and apps/some games. With the HDD as a secondary drive for storing media and less-often played games.

---In terms of games, it will only help the initial load of content, afterwards the levels are cached and will not benefit from a HDD over a SSD.

SSDs are a "hard drive". Generally people use a SSD for the OS. Games can be put on there as well if you get a large enough SSD.

Most people would still have a traditional hard drive though for data, and files. Primarily this is due to SSD just not being large enough to store everything. Traditional hard drives are still considered a bit more reliable too (not to say SSD are unreliable if you buy a quality one).

I'd do as everyone else says, SSD's are great but they have their downfalls (price per gigabyte is still not as good as HDD) I would get a small sized SSD (not more than 256 gigs), for your OS, and favorite games for improved load times.
Here's a video that might help, Linus is great! It's a bit outdated, but for the most part should be able to help a lot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQEjGKYXjw8
