Hello this video describes everything PC troubles: https://youtu.be/-7_fIIoHCIw

This is my second post about this issue I've tried to unplug everything until it boots, I've left it on for a couple hours but it will not go past the A2 message if you guys can help that would be great, I'm really hoping I don't have to replace my MOBO. Also I dont have a gpu installed so I know that's not the issue.

Solution
A2 POST code usually means IDE detect (consult your mobo manual on POST codes to verify). This usually means one of your drives is causing the issue (HDD, SSD, or Optical). Unplug them one by one and see what happens when you try to boot.

OK. so has any one figured this stuff out.
i am on my 3rd MSI motherboard.
the first started randomly loosing drives.- install new cable and maybe it would work. but loose different drive.
all following is new
z97 gaming 7
cpu- intel core i5-4670 @ 3.4ghz
- new memory all.
7 new harddrives- internal.
1000w powersupply- from 750- to 900 to 1000w
3 different sets of new Sata cables.
at this post the C: harddrive 1 allways works. just non of the rest.
got one of the others to come up.
Tested further. i can get to bios. and Hardware check- move mouse over motherboard. and will show drive 1 &2. right now and 5. before i powered down. it wanted to reload all my drivers or restore computer. rebooted again and working.
yesterday i had drive 5 and 7 working.
it is not a drive problem- because it is to random.
its not a power supply issue do to everything may or may not work.- had i have a power supply tester that is geting lots of use.
i have found that if i keep booting to bios, and checking drives. sometimes while i am watching. another drive will slowly be added.
seems that it is not checking drives good. or to fast and not getting reading.
yesterday i wiggled the Sata cables at the motherboard and 2 dif drives came up but 4 did not.-
as stated- on 3rd set of new cables. purchased the best Frys Electronics had. did not help.
HELP>>>

i figure if you can get to the bios and the drives do not show up, that would be the first problem.- and yep it will hang on a2 for a LONG time but the drive 1 (bootdisk) normally works so it will eventually start. just not with the other drives.

Ok well what I finally ended up doing was unplugging different things until it worked haha I know it sounds stupid but that's what I had to do, and now everything works. I just ran it with the sata plugged into another port after I tracked it down and now all my stuff is working.
