My school technician recently transferred my Lenovo K430 PC into a new Corsair 500R case.

Specs are:

i7 3770
16GB RAM
ASUS GTX 770 2GB

The motherboard works in the new case, but it seems that the motherboard uses proprietary connectors for USB3 and HD audio. Should I get a new motherboard and RAM, what do you recommend? Is it worth it?

This is used as a gaming machine.

What motherboard should I get?

Would it be fine to swap boards then? I'm thinking about replacing my ram with 8GB Corsair as well.
What do you think?

How about ASRock Z75 Pro3?

Would you say this upgrade is worth it then? I plan to get different RAM for warranty.

The i7 3770 is still good and worth buying a new motherboard for?

Looked at the H67, it doesn't seem to support the 1600 MHz speed RAM that I will use.

RAM

Spec says " Dual Channel DDR3 memory technology
- 2 x DDR3 DIMM slots
- Supports DDR3 1600/1333/1066 non-ECC, un-buffered memory
- Max. capacity of system memory: 16GB*
- Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) 1.3 / 1.2"

One of these if you can - http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H77M/?cat=Memory

My guess is that the Windows 8 you've got is the original OEM version that was put on your Lenovo. If that's the case, you'll have to buy a new version.

This guy at my local market gave me a free copy of Windows :D. Was buying a new board a good choice?
