Hello everyone,

I have a big problem with my sony vaio vpcsa.
My boot time is about 12-15 sec, but my windows welcome screen takes about 25-30 seconds.
This is very annoying for me for this laptop configuration:

Intel Core i7 2640M
8GB RAM DDR3
128 GB SSD
Win 7 Pro

I have read many posts here trying to solve this, including Gigabyte Smart 6 removing, but in my case I do not have Gigabyte mobo.

I have also done a defrag, CCleaner, c:\ error checking and the problem still persists.

I remember this started couple of months ago, when I tried to serve my laptop as a Hotspot, first from cmd.exe then installing mHotspot (now I removed)

What else can I do to get rid of this annoying situation?

Thank you

Solution
Check for any driver updates needed. Also run SFC /scannow to fix any file issues. Some AV's have also caused slow load times so you can try disabling yours to see how much difference it makes loading. It can also be from different desktop backgrounds so try with standard desktop.

this laptop started driving me crazy.

after a defrag and ccleaner I made my windows to start-up in 8 seconds; and now again, now it is 35 seconds. I just made some windows updates, thats all.

so like Dee Kay said, I do not need any driver updates, I also ran SFC /scannow, I disabled AV - same problem.

how can I can pass this problem?
