Connecting Rosewill Galaxy-01 to ASUS N97-PLUS... what should I check for?

I literally (10 minutes ago) just finished my first build and I have some questions about my connections.

Specs:
i5-4690 w/stock cooler
ASUS H97-PLUS
Corsair CX500
Rosewill Galaxy-01
Kingston HyperX Fury 2 x 4GB 1600 DDR3

I'm now in BIOS.
(1) Ambient CPU temp is 38 C and Mobo temp is 23 C. Is this to be expected? Should the CPU temp be lower?
(2) My BIOS Fan profile only shows the CPU fan, and CHA1 and CHA2. The case has three fans, one of which I had to connect via molex to the PSU because there was no open slot on the Mobo. Did I connect this wrong?
(3) The fans have 3-pin connectors but the mobo has 4-pin. I've read it's not possible to control fan speed, then. Do I need to find a different connector to enable fan speed control, or should I have gone with a different case?
(4) The fans are spinning at 1000 to 1100 RPMs. Is that normal for this kind of fan?
(5) There was one more connection on the case that I didn't use, a 2-prong connection that was housed in a molex 4-prong. The 2 prongs were bent and I didn't see anything in the manual or on the cables to indicate what it was, so I didn't connect it. Any ideas?
(6) Is there any kind of testing I should do to make sure all the connections are correct?

Thanks very much for the help. I'm ecstatic that I got this together in one night. Tomorrow night is SSD, HDD and OS install. Then maybe I'll go shopping for a GPU.

Make sure all your ram is recognised, make sure it says the cpu is running at 3500MHz. For fan speed 1000-11000 rpm is perfectly normal for a 120mm case fan. You can configure in Asus BIOSes the fan speed and determine how fast they running depending on the temperature of the CPU. The CPU temp is normal - personally mine is closer to 35 but 38 degrees is still considered normal. The fans were connected correctly from what you have said. I don't know about the 2 prong cables, you may want to read the motherboard manual and check just to be safe.

For a graphics Card I would recommend a GTX 960 or a GTX 970 from MSI. They have amazing fan technology which enables longer life span due to spinning backwards on startup to remove dust. They...
