When I install Gskill 4Gb X 1 Ddr3 1333Mhz Cl9 Ripjaws X RAM (F3-10666CL9S-4GBXL into it and start the computer, it starts beeping and computer does not start.

How can I downgrade ram frequency to 1033 Mhz in the bios correctly cos my mobo and processor both support 1033 Mhz ? Can anyone please list the steps?

Thanks for the quick reply.
I have searched a lot over the internet about this problem and I have found a lot of people with the same problem with this mobo but could not find the solution.

Yes the mobo supports 1333 Mhz but by overclocking.
Should that happen automatically?
I don't know if my CPU supports 1333 its fsb is 1066 MHz.

And how can I downclock it if the PC does not start?

Help greatly appreciated!

Are you upgrading to this RAM? Do you have the old RAM that was in this computer? Get it to start with that, set the mobo settings and the restart with the new RAM in there. And yes the 1333 should set automatically.

Theres really no other way to get it to POST to the BIOS without working ram. I'm not 100% sure this is your issue, but its a start.

So I start with DDR2 ram, OK.

But what settings do I have to change? There are a lot there in advanced memory settings.
How can I send a screenshot here?

Try setting the memory frequency to 1066, save trhen shut down and swap in the new memory and see what happens.

The memory frequency space is unclickable.

It can't be changed. Its fixed.
Something else needs to be changed first in order to change that.
