Hi!

I have a problem with using a Corsair Force LS 120GB SSD in a Delock USB2 external enclosure with a ThinkPad T61. When I first connected it Windows said the device was installed successfully, but the disk didn't appear in My Cmputer. Then I tried to connect the USB power connector of the enclosure to give it extra power, but nothing changed. I also tried to connect the enclosure without the disk, it appeared in My Computer as Removable DIsk. I replaced the system drive of the laptop with the SSD and the BIOS recognized it. What can be the problem? It doesn't get enough power even with the power cable connected?

Hey picur8572. I'd suggest that you try it with another computer if possible, so that you see if the same thing happens again. I'd also recommend that you open Disk Management in order to see if it's recognized there, the drive may need a new drive letter to be assigned to it. Here's how to do that: How to change the drive letter assignment in Windows 8, 7, Vista, XP or 2000

You should also check the enclosure's compatibility and specs.

As for the power - there shouldn't be any issue with that, especially if you have separate power cable. Do you hear the drive spin up or feel it vibrate when you connect it?

Hope that helps.
