Hey there Pun-ography. It doesn't get quite clear if you've checked Disk Management and BIOS as well. Is that an external drive, you're talking about?
If "yes", is it recognized properly when connected to other computers? Do other mass storage devices work properly with the laptop? You could try reinstalling the USB drivers to see if that changes anything.
