Hello i have a pretty frustrating issue what i've just noticed today. few weeks ago when i bought it and i reinstalled windows i did a performance optimisation and a benchmark with samsung magician.
results were:
544/518 & 92769/84451
todays result:
333/460 & 92550/83480
enormous slowdown in sequential read speed. i've ran performance optimisation and trimmed the ssd, but no change. it is connect to same port since then sata 3 6gbps on z97 chipset.

Only driver i installed since then is intel management service( because i was getting logged errors in event logs).
Possible that intel management engine driver is causing this? should i just get rid of it?
any other ideas?
thanks

edit: Problem is not with ssd, problem is this buggy samsung magician. I've tested the drive now with AS-SSD test and cristaldiskmark 3-3 times and while magician still gives 300/460 results, both as-ssd and cristaldiskmark is giving 530/520 results.

Solution
how much of the ssd is now filled with data? it's faster the more free space it has. check in resource monitor if/what is writing/reading from it

I also experience slower booting. a few days ago when i booted up the pc after the bios screen i did not seen the windows boot logo. it booted instantly to password screen.
Now i see the windows boot logo after asus bios screen for like 1,5-2sec. are you sure it's not caused by this slowdown?

when i ran the first several benchmarks with the normal results it was 200gb free 32 gb reserved
now it is 196 free 37 reserved
Nothing is especially reading/writing from it. only the usual OS read/write sessions with maximum of 20kbps read and 100kbps write(probably pagefile)

I don't understand how the hell can such a good ssd provide such bad slowdown in 2 weeks when it has 5 year warranty... its really frustrating

no difference. latest benchmark is even worse. random reads dropped down to 20000 from 97000....

Any idea where can i contact official samsung SSD support? failed to find any email support or ticket or something on their site..

ohhh mate i solved the issue!!!!!!! :D :D juppeeee no need for rma. i just changed the sata cable and now its back to 529/524 & 89600/85600. Probably one of the sata cables that came with my asus z97 was defective. after i changed and rebooted it automatically went up to advertised speeds.

Thank you for your patience and helpfulness.

enabling rapid mode results in +1GB RAM usage and abnormal benchmark results. like 4000/3000 140000/80000
most likely because its caching dram continusly. but i don't think this actually tells anything about the ssd's performance. it should reach at least 500/500 80000/80000 without enabling rapid mode .

I'll test it with AS-SSD benchmark program. if i get same slow seq read results, i'll try reinstalling windows 8.1 from scratch to see if it was a software issue... if still low seq read with new win8.1 i'll try RMA :(
