do i have to get l memory?

i have 4gb 1600mhz ddr3 L memory i want to add another 4gb because i use win8 64bit and its always around %40-50 even while nothing running
i also may instal 32bit win8 without adding ram what should i do?
i use engineering design applications generally and sometime i play games but not good laptop for gaming
does it have to be L memory?

I would advice you to get the same exact make and model memory that you have now.

mixing memory is never a good idea.

getting the additional 4GB memory and using a 64Bit OS will help improve running your applications if they are windows8 compatible.

you should be able to run a second video card.

thanks one more thingdoes 64bit system provide better display quality? or is there any other advantage of 64bit system except use of 4gb+ ram

No, the display quality is the same since it depends on the video drivers not the OS.

Since the 64-bit can use more memory, the system should perform better since it has to do less caching to the pagefile.

Go to Crucial.com, run the scanner they have to read your current setup. You want to make sure your RAM is in a single 4 gig stick not two 2 gig sticks. Most laptops only have 2 RAM slots, if you don't check and buy another one, you will have to toss one of your RAM sticks and you will only have 6 not 8 gig.

You can also get the RAM from there, the price is not the best you can find, but they guarantee compatibility.
