I am currently running an (un-overclocked) Phenom II x4 965 CPU in my rig. I have been wondering if (at all necessary) i should upgrade to a new one. The main upgrade i have in mind is this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284

Is a new cpu needed? will my current Phenom II be able to last for a few years to come (especially if overclocked).

I am running this all off of a Rosewill Capstone 750w PSU, so power intake should not really be an issue.

I am already using an ASUS M5A 78L-M LX Plus Motherboard. Box/manual says it has an AM3+ (that will work with the FX series, and others), and support for up to 125w CPU's. I don't believe the motherboard is an issue here (as far as i can tell).

Thank you for the insight, but what I'm wondering is whether or not if i should upgrade it. Will the Phenom II last for long enough for me to use it in modern games, or should i get a newer processor?
Thank you, however, for the reply.
