Hello,
Basically as the title describes, Im getting weird symbols on the boot screen. I can open bios, but hitting F8 to boot in safe mode doesn't work. I suspect it could be a virus, but I remember having this problem before. At that time I assumed it was a virus and (taking this as an opportunity to upgrade my hdd) ended up doing a fresh windows install on a brand new drive. So unless I've gone and contracted the same virus I'm thinking maybe this is something else.
I do try and avoid questionable sites and downloads on this PC, but did start and then cancel a download for a desktop wallpaper after it started looking mildly sketchy (think it wanted me to install a custom downloader).... So yeah, can't rule out virus
