I bought a new GPU and power supply last week. After installing the new GPU my computer shuts down after a little while. mostly when im starting up games or youtube video's. it does run normally when the computer is idle tho.

Power supply is: be quiet 630W purepower l8.
GPU: R9-290 CU II OC
Motherboard: M5A78L-M\usb3
CPU: AMD fx 4100 quadcore

Reinstalled windows 8.1 also got the latest drivers. Please help or tips ?

Just like the other guy said, you PSU sucks man i hate to say it but it does. I have an MSI R9-290 and a i5-4690 powered by an XFX 550W TS PSU which is a seasonic pretty much and it runs it all perfect even with a godly huge overclock on the GPU and 8 Corsair/Noctua case fans. Keep in mind that 550W is more than enough for an R9 290 even with overclocking because its TDP is only around 370W. When it comes to PSU's, brand matter just as much if not more than the actual wattage the PSU has because a good brand 500W PSU may but out...

First your PSU is not a very good one. It is made by HEC and not one I would recommend. You could have a bum PSU. Also did you make sure everything is plugged in correctly like the 6+8 pin PCIe cable?

But back to the point, if you PSU is not the problem with your build than i think it may be your actual drivers. make sure you use the internet to find the newest version of your AMD Cards Drivers and update them and make sue sure you delete every possible AMD related thing on your PC before you update your GPU so it will not have any old drivers. You could also run Furmark or any other program that runs your GPU to 100% full load that way if it is you PSU you wil know because your PC will shut off as soon as you start the program.

So instead of the Power supply "be quiet 630W purepower l8".
I now got the EVGA 750W Supernova.
Yet i still have the same problem.
I open up for example: twitch and this website and it reboots out of nowhere.
Anyone has any idea ?
