I just recently built a new desktop in which the MOBO does not have a wifi chip, so I am trying to make a bridge from my laptop to my desktop with an ethernet cable. But on my desktop there is just a yellow caution sign on the connectivity indicator, and whenever I troubleshoot it, it says that "Windows has detected an IP adress conflict
Another computer on this network has the same IP adress as this computer"
What is up with this and is there any way I can fix it?
Thank you for you help

Go to your Network Connections and select the connection that your getting your internet from and the other Nic port where the desktop is connected threw ethernet. Make sure that both connections are highlighted (selected) and then "right click" on the connection where your getting internet from and click on BRIDGE CONNECTIONS. That should bridge them together enabling the internet to be shared to your desktop.

Also make sure your desktop and laptop are in DHCP.
