Hey everyone, I'm new to overclocking and a complete noob at it. I don't understand how it's done, especially on my motherboard. I have tried some other users settings (He apparently had same motherboard, and a little older cpu) but my computer ran some error on boot up, then I fixed something and it didn't show that it was overclocked in cpu-z
Motherboard is: Asus p5n-d
CPU: q8400 @2.66
Ram: Kingston HyperX 800mhz

So where do I start, how do I figure out which settings are right for me?
I know where to located FSB settings, and Vcore/nm/sb/ht core etc just dont know what to set them too.
Thank you to anyone who helps I'll be going to sleep, and check this thread in the morning.
Btw, looking from speeds starting at 3.0 ghz to 3.2 if that's not a problem.
