Does a full SSD reduce performance

Recently I have noticed low performance when it comes to browsing the web and gaming.

Where i used to have 150+ fps in WoW with max settings, I now get dips into the 50's on low.

Could my full SSD be the cause of this terror?

Like both ahnilated an ss202sl said - Yes, SSD's do get slower when they are full. Ive read that at around 75% full, they can start to lose their speed. But no, the SSD will not hurt your FPS.

May want to use something like CCleaner to help speed up your browsing. Then look into new drivers for your graphics cards for WoW.

Use a good virus scanner to see if you picked something. It also wouldnt hurt to see f you have any processes running in the background

Lastly... if you just experienced a hit in WoW after moving to WoD, the graphics are better in WoD. My old system took a huge hit in FPS going from MoP to WoD.

hope this helps!

Hey there, Ike0!

Filling the drive's full capacity is one of the things you should never do with a solid-state drive. A nearly full solid-state drive will have much slower write operations, and eventually will slow down your whole system. However, they can do that long before becoming completely full.
Do you have TRIM enabled?

The performance of the SSD is determined much more from the data you turnover (write & delete), not the amount of the data itself.
So if you store your gameplay recording on the SSD, I strongly recommend doing otherwise and find a different storage location for those.

Hope I was helpful!
