Im in the market for a new card, as my last one went kaputz.
But Im low on funds and am on a tight budget hence. I dont want to spend anymore money than I absolutely have to.
So far Ive looked at the Radeon R7 250 and GTX750

I need my card to handle BF3, BF4, Titanfall and Skyrim at highish settings.
1080p, Medium to high settings on everything. No AA of any kind.

Any advice?

I would get this.

This should be able to handle those games on high setting, assuming your CPU is good enough.

Lets make sure that everything is compatible. What are the rest of your components?

750 ti is good for the price. I was mistaken by saying the 260X, I meant the 270X

How does the 260X outperforms the 750 Ti?

Why would you not get a 750 Ti?

Right, about that R9, I dont live in the Unites States, so while an R9 280 might be inexpensive there, I can assure you, it is not where I live.
Right now, I cant go further than a 750, not even the 750Ti. (sucks I know)

Can the 750 handle what I need?

It would be nice to know where you live. I wouldn't say the 750 would handle it too well.

Make sure to get the 2GB GDDR5 version. GTX 750 should handle medium settings in most AAA titles, but high might be a stretch.

I play all those games on medium to high settings - no AA, with my old HD 6870 (plan on upgrading in a couple months).

In any case, looking at Tom's GPU Hierarchy chart tells me the GTX 750 is in the same tier as my 6870 and the 750 costs $100ish, so I think that's where your baseline is. Might want to spend an extra $25 or $50 and move up a couple of tiers, as the cost-benefit becomes great value at that point.

I live in India right now, the land where everything has to be imported in from other countries. Which means everything costs more.

To add another point, this is going to be a temp card, Ill be upgrading again in less than a year.

If I were to pick between the R7 260X and the GTX750 (NOT Ti), which would be better?

I understand. I won't put my words in stone, but 750 is competitive enough. If you feel 260X will give you better performance, by all means go for it, there unfortunately isn't a definitive 'best' amongst the two, I just feel GTX 750 edges the 260X in performance, based on benchmarks and reviews.
