Need to upgrade CPU, please help

Hello, I want to know what CPU's I could use in my motherboard nowadays, I have this one http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H61I/ with an intel i3 2200 and I'd like to put an i5 or i7 to play GTA V.

■ I think that an i5 should be perfect for your needs, as I don't think you are going to be rendering and editing in 3D. The best i5 you can get is a 3570k which you could probably OC to around 4GHz with decent cooling. The 2nd gen CPUs are harder to get, so you could save some money and go 2nd-hand or you could purchase a new one (for the same price as the latest i5-4690K). But hwne you upgrade, you'll need to update your BIOS to version 0803 or newer. Also what graphics card do you have (you don't always have to upgrade your CPU to get more FPS on games!)?

You can update your BIOS to use 3rd generation CPUs (like i5-3570K and i7-3770K) but no further than that. This is because of the socket and chipset which your MOBO uses.

i5 3570k is on the supported CPU list and is likely the best CPU for gaming on that board. Just give it a little overclock and you're good.

Remember to give the original respondant credit, not me.
