Hello!
I plan on building a computer soon, with the following setup:
EVGA 500W 80 Plus Bronze PSU
AMD FX-6300 CPU
GA-78LMT-USB3 Motherboard
8 GB of crucial sport RAM (2 sticks of 4 GB each)

Then of course one of the two graphics cards referred to in the title of the thread.

This will be my primary gaming rig, and am moving up from a cheap ASUS laptop, so really anything would be an improvement, but I am curious which card you guys think I should use. I do not plan on overclocking anything.

Do I go with the higher performing, but higher heat producing and power consuming 270 or the efficient and cool 750 ti?
NOTE: I am referring to the R9 270, NOT the 270x

Let me know if you need more info. Thanks.

I personally prefer the Nvidia Cards and the 780ti over AMD. It's a fantastic card, has predictable consistent benchmarks, and runs cooler. At first, I wanted nothing to do with overclocking, but after using EVGA Precision X, I found it's extremely easy to raise your cards performance just a few percent, which will be better on the 780ti.

Not entirely sure if you misread or if it was a typo, but I am referring to the 750 ti, not 780. Either way, thanks for your input.

I would get the R9 270, it is a decent card and will give you a better gaming performance. Although 750 ti is more power efficient, bare in mind that the R9 is not a power hungry card and the temperatures are not high at all. MSI Twin Coolers do a good job keeping it cool.
