Hey guys, thanks for reading. I'm currently looking to make some slight upgrades to my PC. While I do have a High End GPU (980), my other components have had less love when it comes to upgrading. My CPU is as mentioned above, an ivy bridge 3570k that I never bothered overclocking and I'm wondering what's peoples thoughts on upgrading that to an i5 4670k and overclocking that one. It's pretty much me looking to up my other parts now that I settled on the GPU I like. If it helps, my pc is a gaming rig and i use it for the likes of MMO's, FPS and Elite Dangerous. I do also cut and edit Videos from time to time. Really just looking to see what people think about that upgrade and if it would be worth my time. Thanks again!

That upgrade wouldn't be worth it unless you really had the money to spend and just wanted the latest and greatest.
The performance improvements would be minimal.
Just overclock your current cpu.
There is no reason to upgrade to a later Intel mainstream cpu (even from a Sandybride cpu) unless you need/want some of the newer features on z97 motherboards.

@ black bird---ya.. I know--lol

just to show to look around and see ths cost of the upgrade is worth the performance over all .. if hes still doing fine with what he got now or coming off a amd build [opinion] that's a few bucks for a slight gain

just scan all the reviews over this like I said new chip new board to go haswell [300-400$$] ??
