Hi,
I've done a ton of research and this is my build so far:

  • Processor: Intel 3.5 GHz i3-4150 (Rs. 6,800 @ local retailer)
Motherboard: MSI B85-G41 PC Mate (Rs. 5,850 @ Flipkart)
Graphics: MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card (Rs. 16,900 @ Flipkart)
    RAM: G.Skill Sniper DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 1600Mhz (Rs. 5,750 @ amazon.in)
Hard Drive: WD Caviar Blue 500 GB Desktop Internal Hard Drive (3150 @ local retailer)
Cabinet: Deepcool Tesseract Bf Mid Tower Computer Case (Rs. 2,750 @ amazon.in)
PSU: Seasonic ECO 500 500 Watts (Rs. 3405 @ theitdepot)
    Total: Rs. 44605
Is this a good build? I am hoping this will last me about 2 or 3 years playing games on medium to high settings.
Does anyone have a better build for under Rs. 45,000?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. A 240gb ssd will cost about Rs. 5k more which is too much. I will think about it. I can manage a WD black but why not WD caviar blue? is it not good?

There are three types of internal storage for desktops from WD. The best is black the worst is blue. But I have a 1TB Blue and its great! I also have another pc with a WD Black and it is slightly faster to load things but not that much. I use an SSD with my WD Black and I can tell you that there is no way you shouldn't get an SSD. SSD's are amazing and in my eyes they are the future of storage.

Also what games do you want to play? I suggest if you are worried about games not playing as well as you thought they would, you should hit youtube and search up "console killing pcs"

SSDs are way too overpriced at the moment. I'll buy one later when the prices go down. For now the WD blue will do.
I think my build should be able to handle all games on high settings :) I wanted to see if anyone else has a better build for that budget. So far I think not :)
Thanks for your reply.

Good choice! Trust me, the blue vs the black - hard to tell the difference. Maybe in a few years when SSD prices come down, try and upgrade that first rather than a new GPU or something like that. I like to upgrade after 5 years but i often start upgrading the less expensive parts like an SSD first so I don't have to spend a large amount all in one go. Hopes this advice helps!
