So I just installed a new 500 gb ssd in my PC and it wont show up in the my computer. When i boot up the PC and go into the bios it says its there but i cant seem to access it in any way. now i did unplug my cd drive when i did it and for some reason i think it thinks that my ssd is a CD rom(No idea why). it says under the disk management that it is unallocated and i have no idea what that means or if that's my problem. i already have a ssd as my boot drive and a hard drive ad my D drive so could that be the problem. i just am not sure what to do. any ideas.

What is this drive "SAMSUNG SSD" with CD icon on it? Looks like your SSD has special firmware as to apperar as both bootable CD, and regular partition. What files are there?

On Disk1: Right-click in "Unallocated area", then "Create Volume". You will have the option to format it as well, and assign a drive letter.

formatting does nothing just an error message. it thinks its a hard drive and i have no idea why. i just wanted to use it for more storage so no windows 8 or anything.
