I've spent last night putting my computer together.
1.) Asus X99-A mobo
2.) i7-5820k
3.) gtx 980
4.) Kingston DDR4 4x4g ram
5.) Corsair AX 1200i psu
The psu worked fine during my first test with 1 ram chip and my older graphics card. I installed windows and some of the drivers of the new mobo. Then I shut down, opened the case again and installed 3 more sticks of the ram and swapped out my older graphics card with the new gtx 980. Everything with perfect and I almost sighed with relief. Booted the computer again and start updating/installing drivers of the components. Went to take a quick shower then came back the computer is off, mobo is still lit but the Corsair PSU got a red light in the self test. Unpowered the comp, unplugged all the cables and modular connectors in the case. powered the PSU separately self test again. Green light for 2 seconds and red again.
Question: Is this a problem with the psu? or can it still be my other hardware?
Question: Should I RMA or is there a fix?
Thanks.
