I was building a computer, and began to boot it up. I installed Windows 8.1, and began to install my Motherboard drivers. But while installing the motherboard drivers, I suddenly turned the computer off. The motherboard still gets power, but the LED lights on it do not work and the computer as a whole does not turn on. I don't understand what I did, and can I fix this?

The reason why is often due to the PSU or power supply unit you have.
They have protection circuits built into them for such things as voltage overload.
Spike protection and other features.

If you turned the system off while it was installing drivers.
Then it was an unexpected shut down.

Simply if the PSU unit on the tower has a rocker switch flick it to the off position.
Take the plug or kettle type cord out of the end where it connects into your psu.
Or switch it off at the wall.
Count ten seconds and then turn on the switch at the socket side.
Now flick the rocker switch to the on position on the back of the PSU.
Then press the power button on your system or tower.

This will clear any errors that disable the PSU from powering the system up right.
And your system should boot ok after the steps above.
