I'm currently in the process of bulding my custom pc and everything is going fine , from the beginning I decided to get nvidia Geoforce gtx 970 and it seemed like a great choice and fits my budget as well , however the other day I was googling and I found that MSI also have the gtx 970 but what was odd to me is that when I looked at the specs it has more core clock than the nvidia one but not much however . Also it was like 30$ cheaper so I was wondering wouldn't it be wiser to get MSI instead ?
This my first build ever so if you can give me some clarification and tips or even correct me if am wrong then I would appreciate it .

Many companies like MSI, EVGA, Gigabyte, Asus, etc use the reference card provided by Nvidia and put their own cooling solutions and custom overclocks on it, and usually sell it for a bit higher price than the reference, but most people buy those overclocked cards so indeed they are usually cheaper than reference cards. Yes you should get the MSI, it runs cooler, quieter and overclocks better.
