Questions about subtle GTX 780 TI model number differences

So I have searched and found very little about my specific query, which is this:

I currently have an EVGA manufactured GTX 780TI, Classified edition, model number P4-2887-KR. I've been considering getting a second one soon (I pre ordered the Witcher 3 and I think it's a good step). I've been shopping around, and there are a few EVGA classified model cards for sale within my price range, but the closest number match is a p4-2887-RX. Will these two cards run in SLI, or is there a subtle difference which would make it either not function optimally or just flat out not work?

Solution
- SLI will work as long as they are the same gpu's(2 gtx 780ti ok, 1 780 and 1 780ti won't work).
- they can be at different clock speed
- with new drivers from nvidia, SLI will work with different brands provided they are the same gpu.

I checked out the two model no and they are the same gtx 780ti. The same core clock, same memory clock...... i don't see any difference other than the model no

From what I understand as long as it's the same GPU it'll run on SLI or XFire, optimally you want the same memory and core clocks (speed), other than that it shouldn't matter much. Despite the manufacturer, you'll be getting your drivers from NVIDIA. Unless those model numbers translate into some spec difference, you should be golden.

Alright, sounds like I'm safe to pull the trigger then. Also going to grab a better CPU cooler while I'm at it, been using the stock cooler for three years running. Thanks gents!

just make sure your mobo is SLI ready and PSU have enough juice for 2 780ti's. :)
