Is GTX 960 with i3 4150 good for gaming on 1080p ?

As my title says will i be able to play games on ultra/high on 1080p

I am very tight on budget

or should i go for i5 4590 with gtx 750 ti... both will cost same and will be mostly gaming and running some adobe cc...

AMD graphic cards are costlier than nvidia in india...

i5 + gtx 750 ti = Rs.26000

i3 + gtx 960 = RS.24000

on snapdeal.com or flipkart.com

I would get the i5 with a 750 Ti now and save money for a GTX 970 later on.

You will not have a botleneck with that i3 on the GTX 960.
And considering that most games are more GPU hungry rather than CPU (unless you give us the games that you want to play), you will be better off with the i3 and GTX 960.

The i3 isnt ideal for gaming so stay away from that. I would save a little more and get a i5 4670k/4690k and either a 960/970 or a 290x or something that can be had a really good price.

I have i5 with 750 Ti (check my name pic) and it works well. I can play Crysis 3 at high settings all day and it looks great. I'll get a GTX 970 soon. Having i5 now lets me do many other things with the pc faster with 4 cores working.

Well, in a perfect world, everyone would get i7 4790k`s and GTX 980 or Titans.
But since budget is a big factor for most people, gathering more money for the best or "optimal" parts is not always an option.

Also most games are not as gpu dependent as they once were. Rather newer games rely heavily on cpu just as much as gpu. Take battlefield 4........VERY cpu dependent. Games with lots of physX type stuff and with newer games becoming multi-core supportive for 4+ cores buying into a dual-core tech is not a smart decision. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i3-4150+%40+3.50GHz my i5-2500k beats the i3 pretty bad and my cpu is several years old. Do yourself a favor and get a unlocked K series i5 cpu.

Don't have far cry 4. Have Crysis 1,2, and 3. All play well at 1080p on high. FSAA off.
