Hi,
Just a quick question i have been pondering over for the past few days and it is starting to annoy me now.
I have an ipad mini that was running ios 7.1.2 which was jailbroken. It ran out of battery a few days ago then on boot up it got stuck on the apple logo. I put it in recovery mode then was forced to restore and upgrade firmware from ios 7.1.2 to ios 8.2. As you cant jailbreak ios8.2 i really need to downgrade back to an earlier version so i can jailbreak it (the only reason i use the ipad).
As apple are no longer signing any version of IOS apart from 8.1.3 and 8.2 i cant downgrade using itunes at all.
The wife does have the same model ipad running ios 7.1.2 (which i would ideally like to revert back to.)
Is there anyway to restore my ipad from her backup? And would it downgrade the ios version?
Am i just clutching at straws with this or could this be possible? Or will it just be easier to sell up and get a nvidia shield or samsung tab s?
Thanks in advance,
Matt
