This is only a recent occurrence, I can play games fine for hours and whole days at a time but then sometimes is just turns off and restarts again and i'm not sure what the problem is. I recently tried to update the drivers for my gpu through windows update, but they failed so I had to go to the website for them, not sure whether that is the cause or anything.

I was playing Arma 3 all night last night fine, and then this morning as its booting up it shuts down/restarts.

Happens randomly not just on games the event viewer has this logged:

okay I Downloaded afterburner and when changing the display options on arma3 to windowed i could see the temp in the background, and it was at 60ish and then the computer restarted.

Started up the game again with the overlay and its playing at 55 degrees C give or take a few degrees so far.

after playing it for a while it hasnt crashed yet, temp of gpu is 55-59c

Possibly your PSU. not sure if there's a way to check it but if you would be able to swap out with a different one and test that should tell you. If it still occurs, games shutting down at start usually mean they're not able to boot up correctly. Do you get any errors or anything or does it just shut down? Has to be PSU if whole pc shuts down.

its not just on games, it happens randomly sometimes and doesn't leave an error message or anything, just blacks out and restarts.
