Hello folks,

I looking for a video card to drive a 4k monitor. This will never be used for gaming.

I'm looking for something that will play 4k video through HDMI that is cost effective. I'm a masters student and will use it to display multiple documents. Currently I'm pushing 4k through HD 4000 integrated graphics and it's not happening!

Also a system builder since 2002! (not lately though, 2011 :( ) All help is appreciated :)

Solution
you can go for something much cheaper, but the GTX 750 is very power efficient, quiet, and has HDMI 1.4a built in. you can go for the GTX 960 if you have a 4k 60Hz TV, because that card has HDMI 2.0, and if your TV supports it, it's trhe cheapest card that has that connector.
