Hi. I have a 2.5" laptop HDD taken from my Macbook that I'd like to put in my new Fractal R5 case. Am I right in thinking there's a way to do this without buying a bay adapter (I've never used one before and don't have one right now).
This person seems to indicate that it could be damaging to the drive.
Sidenote: I'm putting an old Sandisk SSD in the Macbook that I took this drive from. The HDD that I'm putting in the Fractal has tiny T6 screws in the side which seem to be there just to hold the drive in place and should really be switched over to the SSD that's taking its place. I don't have a Torx T6 screwdriver/bit right now (just T5 and T7 *sigh*). I know vibrations aren't an issue with an SSD so it should be okay to place my SSD in there, get started with installing the OS etc, order a screwdriver and mount it properly with the screws currently stuck in the HDD in a week? I was planning on taking it out of the house one evening... Would it be ok?
Thanks.
