2.5" HDD in Fractal R5 Hard Drive Bays w/o adapter.

Hi. I have a 2.5" laptop HDD taken from my Macbook that I'd like to put in my new Fractal R5 case. Am I right in thinking there's a way to do this without buying a bay adapter (I've never used one before and don't have one right now).

This person seems to indicate that it could be damaging to the drive.

Sidenote: I'm putting an old Sandisk SSD in the Macbook that I took this drive from. The HDD that I'm putting in the Fractal has tiny T6 screws in the side which seem to be there just to hold the drive in place and should really be switched over to the SSD that's taking its place. I don't have a Torx T6 screwdriver/bit right now (just T5 and T7 *sigh*). I know vibrations aren't an issue with an SSD so it should be okay to place my SSD in there, get started with installing the OS etc, order a screwdriver and mount it properly with the screws currently stuck in the HDD in a week? I was planning on taking it out of the house one evening... Would it be ok?

Thanks.

They give you the HDD and SSD screws in the case. There are 2.5 mounting holes for 2.5 drives.
Any screw driver will do really.
Note the case is really heavy (for me :D) I would remove the graphic card if you have one when moving it around just in case.

It is so heavy :( but less heavy than I expected, although I've not lifted it since adding the HDDs etc. Maybe I can put it on a tray with wheels :p although that may hinder its anti-vibration feet pointless. Why the GPU specifically? Is it more easily damaged when moving?

So I've found the SSD screws, the issue is I'm putting a 2.5 HDD in here, not SSD so shouldn't I use anti-vibration things? The ones which come with it are too thick to be used with the screws. I need thinner rubber bits or longer screws really. Also the post I linked to above says the metal-on-metal could short the drive.

Thanks.

A precaution. I mean you don't have to but if I was moving my build around outside, I would pack my gpu out of the case.
where are you putting that hard drive?
The normal hard drive cage?

I think I confused you by mentioning two issues at once, I probs should have made two threads. :p My main question was just about the HDD in my Fractal 5. I don't mind where I put it really, just wherever is easiest and safest to put it in my case, preferably without having to buy an adapter or damaging it due to not using anti-vibration pads or it shorting out from the metal.

I'm not moving my Fractal outside of the house, I'm moving my macbook which I put the SSD in. I just wondered if it was ok as I didn't have a Torx T6 screwbit to mount the SSD properly from where I took the Macbook's default 2.5" drive from (4 screws should hold it in place, although they aren't screwed into the macbook, just used as a rest).
