is r9 270x 4gb for $190 worth it?

Solution
Unless you are running 2-3 monitors in eye-finity surround, then no, the 270x isn't worth it, as you can get a r9 280 for less. The 270x isn't powerful enough to really take advantage of 4Gb otherwise. For a single monitor with your cpu, a r9 280/285 would be stronger, and about at the limits of a balanced pc.
