Hey guys, so i got a new PC and I bought this computer to play games on it (specs bellow) I'm frustrated because i'm not getting frame rates nearly as good as i should be and i'm not a computer guy so i'm beyond stuck on what i should do to try and make the computer run the way it's suppose to. For example on my old laptop i can run World of Warcraft on fair with 20 - 30 fps (laptop is 2ghz and not very good overall) but on my new rig i get like 5 more frames on the same setting when i should be able to run that game on ultra with no problem.

Here are my computer's specs:

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4790K 4.0 GHz 8MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1150

CPU / Processor Cooling Fan: Asetek 550LC 120mm Liquid Cooling CPU Cooler

Motherboard: * GIGABYTE Z97X-SLI ATX w/ Intel GbLAN, 2 PCIe x16, 3 PCIe x1, 2 PCI, 1 x M.2, 1 x SATA Express, or 6x SATA 6Gb/s

RAM / System Memory: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory (Corsair or Major Brand)

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 PCIe 3.0 x16 (Maxwell) (Single Card)

Power Supply: 800 Watts - Standard 80 Plus Certified Power Supply - SLI/CrossFireX Ready

Sound: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO

If anyone could please help me get my PC running the way it should it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

hey man i actually fixed it, i was looking around the inside of my PC to see if there was anything i could mess with and noticed my water cooler wasnt plugged in right, so i changed it and sure enough it was fixed. who ever built the computer must have overlooked that

only game ive really tried so far on this computer was WoW just to see if my computer is running properly. on my laptop which is only 2.0ghz and not good video card on fair settings i would get about 20 - 30 frames. on my new rig i get about 37 frames on the same setting which isnt right. How would i go about checking if there is a frame limit? i havent changed any settings since i got the pc but i got it from a company with a bad rep so maybe they didnt set something up right
