Certainly some game engines will not play so well with your A10. But they are considered good overclockers as far as having lot's of headroom. 5GHz is certainly a good goal for a good air cooled 5800K.

Getting the GTX 960 will allow you to play at higher resolutions and detail settings with higher sustained FPS than just using the igpu in the A10.
