Hello, I have a Lenovo E50-00 PC with a external power supply(like laptops). I'm looking for a good graphics card that doesn't need any cables to plug into it. It should be cheap but good.

Thanks.

In that case, i dont think there is any GPU that could be powered by that PSU. if you want better performance, you will need a new system.

I have the same PC as you my dude I know the struggle, I think if we unplug the dvd writer which is a sata cable connection, that will free up about 10-20W im considering doing so but only if I can find a GPU that is around that Power Consumption. Another thing to do is, go into the BIOS and go across to display I think it is and find Video card I think it is and select the part where it says internal graphics it should say IDG but don't hold me to it. then select the highest amount of video ram you can (512mb) don't worry though this if fine as the Intel HD Graphics on this system in particular their is around 1GB of VRAM that is just sitting their doing nothing. hope someone else will reply with a good GPU. But I hope I have helped you little bit mate. :D

I've put a Radeon HD5450 into an E50 with no problem, running 2x 22" monitors. It's not a gaming machine, just office work so it's running fine, plays videos and live streaming very nicely. I only upgraded with this card for dual monitor capability, otherwise the onboard was just fine for what my customer needed.

If you were after a card for playing games then really you have the wrong base unit to start with and may be better to get a better base unit and then think about the graphics.
