Just got a new i5-4690k..mobo..psu......and now my video is looking like shit!

The video card ive been using is a gtx 750 ti......it looked alot better in my old pc which was an HP from 2008...cpu was a q6700 core2 quad...

This is absolutely devastating.....Video has a big tear right down the middle of screen and the frame rate seems a bit low! My old setup looked way smoother....WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY..

Video driver is updated..

Im so upset...someone hold me...what do I do?

ok somethings really weird... I downloaded cpuid and some things dont look right....But first, heres my PC:

processor: i5-4690k
mobo: z97 asrock pro4
graphics: gtx 750 ti
RAM: 1600mhz 2x 4gb
OS: Windows 7 (all updates)

Heres whats CPUID is giving me:

CPU:
core speed: 800mhz
bus speed: 100mhz

Cache:
L1D cache: 32kbs x 4
L11 cache: 32kbs x 4
L12 cache: 256kbs x 4
L13 cache: 6 Mbps

Memory:
DRAM freq: 800mhz
and some other stuff I dont know..

Graphics:
Core: 405mhz

Now im not THAT great with computers but I know enough to know that these numbers dont seem right...

Could it be that I didnt seat my processor correctly? That might sound stupid but I feel like its the only thing I might have messed up on.....The rest was pretty simple...

Never done that before so cant say, but i think it would not boot up if you placed the cpu wrong(the mark is mostly in bottom left corner)

Did you get a new HDD? If not, have you at least done a fresh uninstall of the windows and all of the programs?

That looks normal, the i5 downclocks to 800Mhz on the desktop and the graphics card will do the same.

thats another issue.... I tried to do a "secure erase" with the samsung magician software but it wont work....did some reading around and it seems I did everything correctly but it doesnt want to let me restore my sdd to original state.....

I did a windows performance test and everything seems to be scoring high (almost 7.9's on everything) ...

I dont understand what is wrong....

does my cpuid numbers look correct? I restarted my computer and my cpu's numbers seem to be ok now... running at 3.5mhz

Ok...good to know!...what about memory saying 800mhz instead of 1600?

I just tried to run 3DMark and got this error:

Workload Single init returned error message: DXGI call IDXGISwapChain::SetFullscreenState failed:

The requested functionality is not supported by the device or the driver.

DXGI_ERROR_NOT_CURRENTLY_AVAILABLE

EDIT: tried again right after and it worked....physics seem to be alot better than my last PC... everything seems good here...ugh

Starting to think running a system performance check on windows then restarting computer somehow fixed everything....

Still....PC...im watching you...sneaky bastard

Also, I forgot to mention...
There is no need to worry about your memory being only at 800Mhz speed, because it is doubled. (800x2=1600). Its always like this, I don't really know why.
Every memory slices itself half the speed when you record it's velocity, however operates at full speed when....Well, when I don't know. But its just like that for everyone and every single computer for no particular reason. If you really don't feel secured, go to your bios settings and set the voltage, cas, and speed for the one your ram is compatible working with.
