I'm currently running a dell optiplex 790 SFF and I have upgraded to 64bit in preparation for this (so that I'm not buying RAM that my computer can't use) but now more than ever I am noticing the performance deductions of having 4GB RAm as I am big into having , music, chrome,Skype, utorrent(linux distros so they're on all the time) , dropbox, box, display fusion as well as light games open simultaneously and I want to upgrade to 8GB current motherboard only supports up to that
what Ram would be reccomended to be at the best pricepoint(have a dedicated graphics card so speed doesn't matter too much unlike with APU's)

I would think, under normal circumstances, that higher speed RAM would clock down, but this being a Dell, I prefer to keep it within their stated specifications.
