I miss gaming and I wanted to play next gen games really badly. Unfortunately I am very new to this kind of stuff so I want to check out if anyone will be kind enough to help me here. I am not sure if this will help but I got Intel(r)Core i3-2100 CPU@ 3.10GHz. I never had a graphic card and my Ram is sadly only at 2GB. I am planning to upgrade with a 1 or 2GB (radeon sapphire series if possible) graphic card and 8Gb Ram, but I don't know if it will work with this old Mobo. I also have a 600W Power supply. Any reply from you guys would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

1GB cards are outdated now...I found out after I bought my 1GB R7 260X. In your case, I would get the exact same card as me, just the 2GB model.

I have the Sapphire R7 260X, and it's a beauty. Unfortunately I have the 1GB model, which is too slow for 1080p gaming most of the time. The 2GB version retails for exactly the same price, luckily for you.

As for the RAM, it looks disgusting but this is the cheapest 8GB kit I could find: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/team-memory-tlyd38g1600hc9dc01

Your motherboard supports up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, so the upgrade to 8GB shouldn't be a problem. You will get a HUGE increase out of performance with that.

If you're looking for a good Sapphire graphics card, I recommend the R9 270 Dual-X, probably the best R9 270 on the market along with the XFX Double Dissipation model. Your power supply should be fine to handle anything up to an R9 290, but that's overkill.

Yeah, for a mid range card I would recommend an R9 270, they're really decent cards for the price. Much better than the comparable GTX 750Ti, even if they use a lot more power. The XFX Double Dissipation is a beautiful and powerful graphics card, and would be my recommendation, but the Sapphire Dual-X is a really decent cooler as well...it just isn't such a looker.

Thanks again for your great suggestions, but I actually forgot to tell you about how much I have for it. I think the Graphic card is a bit over the top. Can you suggest a cheaper thing closest to that around 100$? How about a DDR 5 1GB? could you also suggest a good 8GB RAM brand around with a cheaper price? I am a bit tight. Thanks for bearing with me! :bounce:

Is it possible for me to compromise the Ram for the Graphics Card? I think I am gonna get the 2GB model. :)
