Hello,

I just replaced my gpu and It won't startup.

I get in the bios to change my date and time sometimes but before I can change it shuts itself down again.

I removed the battery but I can't find the resetbutton. Is there a reset button on my motherboard itself I need to press? I have a P7H55v Asus board.

I have the latest bios update. Could it be a problem the I7 is older in productiondate then my I5, Only a few months.

Hope someone can help me out! :)

Thanks,
Glenn

Your motherboard manual will direct you to a clear cmos header.
You change the jumper to clear cmos.

Your new cpu is supported with the latest bios.

One possibility is that you might have damaged one of the pins in the cpu socket.
It is very easy to do. Remove the cpu and check.

Mmmm .. now I have the same issue with my I5 only it takes longer for it to shut down. Windows starts only before my virus scanner and other basics are loaded it shuts down.

Could it be a heat issue? I use the stock Intel fan on the cpu.
