Good PC but bad lag? (I choose best answer)

During the holiday season (Christmas), I chose to build a rig. Its been running fine ever since about February , it had occasional lag spikes but they went away, so i decided it was fine. This past week has been horrid. Ill be playing Advanced Warfare, turn the corner,2 sec screen freeze and im dead. I decided to log on to my little brothers Minecraft account (knowing that you don't need a beef PC to run) and I still get the occasional lag spike that freezes my screen for 2 seconds then goes back.

Would anyone be able to shine some light on my situation? thanks if you do.

Specs:

AMD FX 6350 CPU
GIGABYTE R9 270x 2GB GPU
8GB RAM
500GB HDD 7200RPM
GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 Motherboard
550W PSU

Solution

It was actually my fault, It just blows hot air out of the side

I just played a game where it did the 2 second lag like always and its temp was 132 degrees Fahrenheit. I have 1 fan in my PC on the side that sucks in hot air and blows it out.

You cannot have one fan that both blows and sucks... did I misunderstand...?

Ok well to be sure of effective cooling it is best to have more air being inhaled than exhaled. If temperature becomes an issue, get some front intake fans
