Will higher speed RAM work in conjunction with lower speed RAM?

I have a few sticks of RAM here installing in my mothers computer, however, I have 2x4gb sticks of 333MHZ DDR2 ram, and 2x2gb sticks of 667MHZ RAM. If I was to put the 333mhz RAM in, will the 667mhz stuff slow down to work with the other?
Thanks.

It is called ddr2 for a reason. as the guy said 333 runs at 667 in dual channel mode. that being said mixing ram of different speeds and CAS ratings is not a good idea.

not dual channel, double data rate. DDR.
