Put a lot better psu. Trust me you don't want to go with that builder crap.
You aren't going to feel the difference between this i3 and the i3 that you had selected.
A cheaper case is added.
As for OS you can get it from here= http://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/comments/318630/h_windows_7_8_81_servers_office_visio_project/
Put a better mobo.
Put cheaper RAM.

Hope this helped!

Well can you change the build to match windows at 50$ ?

That would mean downgrading some things. I'll see what I can do.
You sure you want the dvd drive? Have you bought a physical disc of windows?
Can you borrow a dvd drive from your friends for loading windows?

Put a cheaper case.
Put a 270.
Actually the difference between the performance of a 270 and 270x is very less. You can OC the 270 to match the 270x.

I can't believe I'm going to suggest this, but if you only have <$150 to spend on CPU, you might be better off going with an AMD fx 6300 or a fx 8350 if you can afford it.

This is good! Avoid the FXs

No doubt Intel makes better CPUs, but if he casn't afford at least an i5, these AMDs will blow the i3 and g3258 out of the water. That i3 barely outperforms my Core 2 Quad q9550, and it was released 7 years ago. The i3 is not a gaming CPU. At least suggest an i5.

Here ya go, CTurbo, any of these will do you better than the i3 or the AMDs. Wel worth the extra $20...
