Hi,

I have just ordered a Asus X99-A motherboard and want to know if the following PCI-E soundcard is compatible (I will only use it for the MIDI gameport; the latency of USB MIDI connections bug me):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/US-PCI-Express-PCI-E-5-1-Ch-6-Channel-PCIE-Audio-Digital-Sound-Card-Adapter-New-/391023301443?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5b0ace1343#shpCntId

Here is the ASUS manual link:
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA2011/X99-A/e9736_x99-a_ug_v2.pdf

Any suggestions are welcome.

Best regards

The card is so I can mess about with MIDI with my old Yamaha keyboard. USB connections for MIDI are too slow, so when you press a key there is a lag in response, whereas the old gameport connections are instant. The sound on the X99-A is supposed to be great, so I won't be using the soundcard for audio.
