In BlueScreenView, I had a BSOD on 8-23-2014, and then a few days ago on 3-28-2015 and then earlier tonight a few hours ago on 4-5-2015. I've done some researching and the issues appear to be related to my hd 7950. Several tom's hardware topics came up which I can post for reference if given time to find them, but basically others had the same problem and even a mod posted he had the same problem which was solved by going to an nvidia 560ti (don't remember offhand what his AMD gpu he switched from was).
the errors earlier and as well as a few days ago were the same, atikmdag.sys and dxgkrnl.sys
I don't have any malware, and everything like my cpu, ram, and gpu are on stock factory settings. In the past I slightly overclocked my i5 3570k's turbo boost to 4.2ghz but went back to stock after not noticing much of a real world improvement.
For awhile now, I've also always used DDU to remove the old drivers before installing new ones, these were fresh installed about a month and a half ago I'd approximate. It was the newest at the time official AMD drivers from back in Dec. I believe.
The GPU is sitting at 30c right now so temp isn't a problem, it's always run relatively cool, it's a sapphire dual-x hd 7950 3gb bought in late Dec 2012 and I'm assuming it might be dying? I figured it would last longer than this. But I get no glitches or artifacts while gaming, just these random (and very annoying, and now increasingly more common blue screens of death)
When I got the blue screen of death earlier, my pc was just sitting on the desktop, then just out of nowhere the blue screen >_>
