Current Build for the future:

AMD FX-6300 6-core
ASRock 990FX Extreme3
12 gb ram
EVGA 600w 80+Bronze psu

My monitor is slightly old school with VGA input and 1366x768 resolution. I plan on playing "current" games on pc and do some video editing from sony vegas. So which GPU would be better the 750 or the 750 ti?

The 750ti isn't that much better than the regular 750, and the 750 superclocked is even closer. If I was on a budget the gtx 750 would be really nice for 720p actually. Maybe not ultra maxed out at 60fps constantly, but very playable and still look good. On a budget, I don't know why more people honestly just don't game on 720p, it's much less demanding than 1080p.

Thats a great answer, because i dont plan on playing a ton of AAA games on this rig mostly just games that came out pre 2014 via Steam Sales and I'm not a 1080/60 whore so that doesnt matter to me, and any games that come out this generation ive got my PS4 so im good on that. So thanks man appreciate the answer. :)
