Anyone got an i5 4670k with an MSI Z97 PC Mate?

Solution
the PC mate along with a plethora of other low priced LGA 1150 motherboards have been tailored towards overclocking the Pentium G3258 , not to say that getting a good OC (i5 4690k)on this MB is out of the question, cause it can, going with a "beefier" motherboard would be my suggestion. And by beefy i mean VRM Cooling and Power Design.

Also you may want to consider making sure the one yo get has M.2 and Sata Express. Intel is setting the stage with their SSD the 750 series. There is a few points to read up on.

EDIT: Asus TUF Series Motherboards kind of set the standard of PCB and power design for the mainstream sockets,. While they don't have to be TUF to OC, I believe their new MB the B85 Pro is an excellent cheaper option for...

The motherboard has perhaps the biggest say in how well your cpu will overclock. The PC Mate is poor in this area. I have used this setup once and we BARELY got 4.2ghz stable with a CM h100. A new ASRock Extreme4 added 300mhz immediately and with much less effort.
