Ram errors Memtest86

Hello I have a problem that is confusing me at the moment.

My PC was BSOD several times a day, sometimes several times a hour, programs would crash on startup and then would crash every time I tried to open it thereafter until I reset my PC.

Page fault in nonpaged area, the memory one (can't remember what its called) and another one I can't remember but that one was very rare.

I recently ran memtest86 with both sticks and I received 16 errors. I've now ran both sticks individually and received no errors whatsoever and my PC seems to run perfectly when I've only got 1 stick in it. All test were done overnight, and in the same slot.

Does anyone know what would cause this?

My Specs are

Intel i5 2500 @3.3ghz
8gb ram 2x4 (runing 4gb atm) Corsair Vengeance 1600
Onboard graphics (fan died on graphics card)
P8Z68-V LX motherboard.

No nothing is overcloaked, when I was running 2 sticks I did up the voltage as many people have been instructed to on this site.

I went up to 1.65V and wasn't willing to go any higher as the ram is suppose to run at 1.5V I don't know if going higher would fry the sticks or not.

I have a 500W PSU if that helps any, as I did have a geforce 550 in there until the fan gave up and I took it out. If any more information is needed I'm more than happy to supply it.

What motherboard, CPU, memory make and model, PSU, etc. We need the full specs, not some high level description like a 500W PSU that may or may not be 500W. It doesn't make sense to run 1.5V memory at 1.65V; something else is wrong, e.g., you have a really lousy motherboard, PSU or the memory is overclocked.

I've already listed my motherboard, CPU, Memory in my original post. I'll copy and paste them again.

Intel i5 2500 @3.3ghz
8gb ram 2x4 (runing 4gb atm) Corsair Vengeance 1600
Onboard graphics (fan died on graphics card)
P8Z68-V LX motherboard.
PSU = Xigmatek 500W

Could you provide the part number of the memory kit? http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=Corsair+Vengeance+1600&N=100007611%20600006069&isNodeId=1 They all match your description and all are 1.5V (except for one that's 1.35V). Which Xigmatek 500W PSU do you have? XCP-A500, CPA-0500BDD-F51, ACXTNRP-PC502, other?

Did you test one memory module in the other slot (same channel)? There always is a possibility the slot is defective. Are you using the XMP profile? You shouldn't have to increase the voltage when using a single module.

The bios settings for the ram is currently on the default settings with XMP enabled. So the voltage is back at 1.5.

The RAM I have is the very first one on the list on the link you provided. Is CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 not the model number?? Only other numbers on my RAM stick is 4277725 114808166

My PSU is a Xigmatek NRP - VC503 CPH-0500Q-X01 500W

I'll test the stick in the other slot tonight. Could it be a defective slot that causes errors in memtest86 rather than the RAM itself?

"Could it be a defective slot that causes errors in memtest86 rather than the RAM itself?" That's a possibility and that's why you need to make sure both slots are working properly. The memory kit is very good and the PSU is acceptable at most. Is the system stable with only one module?

Yes, with only 1 module the PC for the last 2 days has been running perfectly, not a single BSOD, program crash etc

With both RAM sticks in I can't go a single day without multiple BSOD and program crashes.

It'll take a few days as I can't run the tests any other time but overnight, I'll memtest the 3 other RAM slots with a stick that has received no errors and I'll post the results on here.

So 3 days basically. Thank you for your assistance and I'll update you as I go.
